<p class="Paragraph"><help:help-text value="visible" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">This object bar becomes visible when you have clicked the icon <span class="T1">Edit Glue Points</span> located on the options bar.</help:help-text> Glue points are user-defined points where the <help:link Id="67274" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">Connectors</help:link> are positioned. <text:s text:c="" xmlns:text="http://openoffice.org/2000/text"/>In addition there are the four default glue points located in the middle of each of the sides of the surrounding rectangle.</p>
<p class="Paragraph"><help:help-text value="visible" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">Click here to insert additional glue points. You will then be able to set a new glue point at the required position in the area of the selected object every time you click the mouse button. Click on this icon again to exit insert glue points.</help:help-text></p>
<p class="Paragraph"><help:help-text value="visible" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">If you click on this icon the connector placed here will exit the object to the left. This selection applies to the glue point currently chosen. You can select several of the four icons, <span class="T1">Left, Right, Top, Bottom</span>. <help:productname>%PRODUCTNAME</help:productname> Impress will then select the best one to use for the connector.</help:help-text></p>
<p class="Paragraph"><help:help-text value="visible" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">Click this icon to have the connector attached to the glue point currently selected exit the object at the top.</help:help-text></p>
<p class="Paragraph"><help:help-text value="visible" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">Click this icon to have the connector attached to the glue point currently selected exit the object on the right.</help:help-text></p>
<p class="Paragraph"><help:help-text value="visible" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">Click this icon to have the connector attached to the glue point currently selected exit from the bottom of the object.</help:help-text></p>

<p class="Paragraph"><help:help-text value="visible" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">When scaling an object with glue points then they will be scaled accordingly if this icon has been activated.</help:help-text> If you do not want the glue point currently selected to alter its position in relation to the side of the object when it is scaled then deactivate this icon. Use one of the following icons to select the side against which the position of the glue point is not to be changed.</p>
<p class="Paragraph"><help:help-text value="visible" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">When the object is resized, the current gluepoint remains fixed to the left edge of the object.</help:help-text></p>
